Job summary

Argenbright Security Europe Limited (trading as ASEL) in Ashington is seeking a Retail Security Officer to provide a visible deterrence, respond to incidents, and complete incident reports while collaborating with local authorities.

You will patrol the store, assess vulnerabilities, manage conflicts calmly, conduct searches as required, and report daily activity via tablets. A valid SIA licence and a 5-year checkable history are essential; full training is provided.

Qualifications

• You must hold a valid SIA Licence to apply.
• Applicants must provide a 5-year checkable history and right-to-work documents.
• Current SIA Guarding or SIA Door Supervisor licence is required to apply.

Responsibilities

• Patrol the shop floor and deter criminal activity.
• Assess vulnerabilities and work proactively to minimise risk.
• Liaise with management and local authorities when applicable.
• Manage vulnerable persons with empathy to avoid distress.
• Complete colleague and contractor searches as required in line with policy.
• Digitally report incidents and use tablets/phones for daily activity planning.
