Job summary

OCS UK & Ireland is recruiting a Retail Security Officer based at Morrisons Warminster to protect customers, staff and stock in a busy retail environment. You will be a visible deterrent, provide excellent service and respond effectively to incidents as part of a vigilant security team.

The role requires a valid SIA licence, right to work in the UK, and flexibility to work weekends and evenings. You will work closely with store management and receive ongoing training through the OCS Academy.

Qualifications

• Strong observational skills with the ability to identify suspicious behaviour.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills for reporting and interactions.
• A proactive and professional approach to ensuring safety and security.
• Flexibility to work varied shifts, including weekends and evenings.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a visible security presence, deterring theft and anti-social behaviour
• Patrol the store and monitor CCTV for suspicious activity
• Respond to alarms and incidents, escalating where required
• Conduct searches in line with company procedures when necessary
• Complete accurate incident and observation reports
• Work closely with store management and staff on security matters
• Provide a professional and approachable presence
• Assist customers and staff with queries
• De-escalate challenging situations calmly
• Follow all site procedures, company policies and legal requirements
• Support the wider team and undertake additional duties as required
