Job summary

Mitie Cleaning & Hygiene Services is seeking a Security Officer to help create a safe, welcoming environment for customers and colleagues at M&S stores in Milton Keynes and surrounding areas. You will be the visible security presence, deter loss, and support store operations through professional incident handling.

The role requires strong communication, a calm, confident approach, and a genuine commitment to customer service and safety.

Qualifications

• Previous security experience is preferred.
• A valid SIA licence is desirable, although not essential.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• A calm, confident and professional approach.
• A proactive mindset with the ability to make sound decisions quickly.
• A genuine passion for customer service and keeping people safe.

Responsibilities

• Provide a visible security presence in a fast-paced retail environment; deter loss and respond to incidents.
• Assist customers and colleagues, delivering professional support and a welcoming store atmosphere.
• Support store operations with store technology and incident management.
