BardWood Support Services is recruiting a Retail Security Officer for a well-known Harwich retail store. The role requires full flexibility to meet client needs, guarding stock and ensuring safety for staff and visitors.

The position offers progression to permanent client employment after 12 weeks with a range of benefits and a supportive team environment.

Qualifications

• SIA license required.
• 5-year checkable work history or career history.
• Experience in a similar role preferred.
• Physically fit and able to work under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Patrolling the Retail Store Premises.
• Monitoring entry and exit points of the store.
• Call for help in emergencies and operate theft-detecting devices.
• Build positive customer relations while managing large crowds.

About the role

Title – Retail Security Officer

Pay Rate – 13.10 PH

Location –Harwich

Shift Timings – Must be fully flexible as per clients requirements

You will be working in a well‑known retail store, which holds various stock. Officers are responsible for providing safety and security to both staff and visitors alike.

Your main responsibilities may include:

• Patrolling the Retail Store Premises.


• Investigating Disturbances, as well as monitoring the entry and exit points of the retail store.


• Confidently calling for help in emergency situations and operating theft-detecting devices.


• Effectively dealing with large crowds and building positive customer relations.

To succeed in this role, you will need the following:

• SIA License.


• 5-year checkable work/career history.


• Experience in a similar role, would an advantage


• Physically fit to undertake given tasks.


• Possess the ability to work under pressure.
