Job summary

CYS Security is hiring a Security Officer to safeguard our Ilkeston store, delivering a welcoming service while maintaining a secure environment. You will be a visible, calm presence, ready to assist customers and colleagues and to respond to incidents with professionalism.

The role requires a valid SIA licence, strong communication, and a proactive attitude. You’ll use store technology and body‑worn cameras to support incident management and ensure safe operations daily.

Responsibilities

• Prevent loss and respond to incidents to protect customers, colleagues and assets.
• Identify risks and support safe ways of working within the store.
• Operate store technology and reporting systems, including body-worn cameras, to support operations and incident management.
• Maintain a visible presence to help customers feel safe and supported.
• Work closely with store colleagues to sustain high standards and a positive environment.
