Job summary

BardWood Support Services seeks a Retail Security Officer to protect staff and visitors at a well-known Hawick retail store. You will patrol premises, monitor entrances, and respond to incidents with discretion and professionalism.

Role requires a valid SIA license, a 5-year checkable history, and the ability to work under pressure. After 12 weeks, the role transfers to the client with benefits and career progression opportunities.

Qualifications

• SIA license is required.
• 5-year checkable work history.
• Experience in security roles is advantageous.
• Physically fit and able to work under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Patrolling the Retail Store Premises.
• Investigating disturbances and monitoring entry/exit points.
• Calling for help in emergencies and operating theft-detecting devices.
• Dealing with large crowds and building positive customer relations.

About the role

Title - Retail Security Officer

Pay Rate - £12.71

Location - Hawick

Shift Timings - Must be flexible as per clients requirements

You will be working in a well-known retail store, which holds various stock. Officers are responsible for providing safety and security to both staff and visitors alike.

Your main responsibilities may include:

• Patrolling the Retail Store Premises.
• Investigating Disturbances, as well as monitoring the entry and exit points of the retail store.
• Confidently calling for help in emergency situations and operating theft-detecting devices.
• Effectively dealing with large crowds and building positive customer relations.

To succeed in this role, you will need the following:

• SIA License.

• Experience in a similar role, would an advantage
• Physically fit to undertake given tasks.
