Job summary

BardWood is hiring a Retail Security Officer for a well-known retail store in Havant. You will patrol premises, monitor entrances, respond to incidents, and support staff and customers with a calm, professional approach.

The role requires a valid SIA license, a 5-year checkable work history, and the ability to work flexible shifts and under pressure. Training and progression opportunities are provided with client transfer after 12 weeks.

Qualifications

• SIA licensed security officer with clean 5-year employment history.
• Experience in a similar security role is advantageous.
• Physically fit to perform patrols and respond to incidents.
• Ability to work under pressure in a retail environment.

Responsibilities

• Patrolling the Retail Store Premises.
• Investigating disturbances and monitoring entry/exit points.
• Calling for help in emergencies and operating theft-detection devices.
• Effectively managing large crowds and maintaining customer relations.

About the role

Title – Retail Security Officer

Pay Rate – £13.10

Location – Havant

Shift Timings – Must be fully Flexible as per Client requirements

You will be working in a well-known retail store, which holds various stock. Officers are responsible for providing safety and security to both staff and visitors alike.

Your main responsibilities may include:

• Patrolling the Retail Store Premises.
• Investigating Disturbances, as well as monitoring the entry and exit points of the retail store.
• Confidently calling for help in emergency situations and operating theft-detecting devices.
• Effectively dealing with large crowds and building positive customer relations.

To succeed in this role, you will need the following:
