Job summary

BardWood is seeking a Retail Security Officer for a busy Hamilton store. You will patrol premises, deter theft, monitor access points and respond to incidents to keep staff and visitors safe.

The role requires SIA licensure and a reliable 5-year career history, with a strong fitness level and resilience in a fast-paced retail environment. On successful completion of 12 weeks, you may transfer to the client with benefits including SIA renewal, cycle to work, salary advances, retailer vouchers,

Qualifications

• SIA license required or in progress.
• 5-year checkable work/career history.
• Experience in a similar role is advantageous.

• Patrol the Retail Store Premises.
• Investigate disturbances and monitor entry/exit points.
• Call for help in emergencies and operate theft-detecting devices.
• Build positive customer relations and manage large crowds.

About the role

Title – Retail Security Officer

Pay Rate – 13.10

Location – Hamilton ML3

Shift Timings – Tuesday–Wednesday 11:00–21:00; Sunday 05:00–15:00

You will be working in a well-known retail store, which holds various stock. Officers are responsible for providing safety and security to both staff and visitors alike.

Your main responsibilities may include:

• Patrolling the Retail Store Premises.
• Investigating Disturbances, as well as monitoring the entry and exit points of the retail store.
• Confidently calling for help in emergency situations and operating theft-detecting devices.
• Effectively dealing with large crowds and building positive customer relations.

To succeed in this role, you will need the following:

• SIA License.
• 5-year checkable work/career history.
• Experience in a similar role, would an advantage
• Physically fit to undertake given tasks.
• Possess the ability to work under pressure.
