Job summary

Lakeside Shopping Centre in Thurrock is hiring Security Officers to join the professional security team. The role covers a visible presence, patrols, incident response and customer support within a high-profile shopping centre environment.

The successful candidate will hold a valid SIA Frontline Licence and demonstrate strong customer service, communication and teamwork skills. Training may include First Aid at Work and ACT/Counter Terrorism.

Qualifications

• Valid SIA Frontline Licence required.
• Previous security experience preferred.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Calm, professional under pressure; good observation.
• First Aid at Work and ACT training desirable.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a visible and professional security presence throughout the centre.
• Patrol public areas, back-of-house areas and designated security zones.
• Respond promptly to incidents, emergencies and alarms.
• Monitor CCTV and security systems where required.
• Provide assistance and support to customers, retailers and contractors.
• Deal with security-related enquiries and incidents calmly and professionally.
• Complete accurate incident reports, logs and handovers.
• Carry out routine security and safety checks.
• Support emergency procedures, evacuations and first aid incidents.
• Work closely with the Security Team Leader, Security Manager and wider centre operations team.
• Maintain high standards of customer service, professionalism and presentation at all times.

£14.20 per hour

40 hours per week | 4 on / 4 off | Day Shifts

The Opportunity

Our client is looking for professional and customer-focused Security Officers to join the security team at Lakeside Shopping Centre.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced security professional to work within a busy, high-profile shopping centre environment, helping to maintain a safe, secure and welcoming experience for visitors, retailers, contractors and colleagues.

You will be part of a professional security team, providing a visible presence throughout the centre and responding confidently to incidents, emergencies and customer enquiries.

What You'll Be Doing

• Maintain a visible and professional security presence throughout the centre.
• Patrol public areas, back-of-house areas and designated security zones.
