Job summary

BardWood Support Services is recruiting a Retail Security Officer for a well-known retail store in Glenrothes. The role involves patrolling premises, monitoring entrances, and responding to incidents to protect staff and customers.

After 12 weeks, the position transfers to the client with benefits such as license renewal, cycle-to-work and private medical cover. Flexibility in shifts is required to meet client needs.

Qualifications

• SIA License is required for the role.
• A 5-year checkable work history is required.
• Experience in a similar security role is advantageous.
• Must be physically fit and able to work under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Patrol the retail store premises to deter theft and maintain safety.
• Monitor entry/exit points and investigate disturbances.
• Call for help in emergencies and operate theft-detection equipment.
• Manage large crowds and build positive customer relations.

About the role

Title – Retail Security Officer

Pay Rate – 13.10

Location – Glenrothes

Shift Timings – Must Be Flexible As Per Clients Requirement

You will be working in a well-known retail store, which holds various stock. Officers are responsible for providing safety and security to both staff and visitors alike.

Your main responsibilities may include:

• Patrolling the Retail Store Premises.
• Investigating Disturbances, as well as monitoring the entry and exit points of the retail store.
• Confidently calling for help in emergency situations and operating theft-detecting devices.
• Effectively dealing with large crowds and building positive customer relations.

To succeed in this role, you will need the following:

• SIA License.
• 5-year checkable work/career history.
• Experience in a similar role, would an advantage
• Physically fit to undertake given tasks.
• Possess the ability to work under pressure.
