Job summary

BardWood Support Services is recruiting a Retail Security Officer for a well-known Glasgow retail store. You will patrol the premises, monitor entrances, handle crowd situations and maintain safety for staff and customers while working to deter theft.

This is a full-time role of 40+ hours per week, requiring weekend work and full flexibility. You must hold an SIA license, provide a 5-year checkable work history and demonstrate the ability to work under pressure in a busy retail environment.

Qualifications

• SIA license required.
• 5-year checkable work/career history.
• Experience in a similar role would be advantageous.
• Physically fit to undertake given tasks.
• Ability to work under pressure.

About the role

Title – Retail security officer

Pay Rate – £13.58

Location – Glasgow, Strathkelvin Retail Park

Shift Timings – Full time 40+ hours per week, must be fully flexible and able to work weekends

You will be working in a well-known retail store, which holds various stock. Officers are responsible for providing safety and security to both staff and visitors alike.

Your main responsibilities may include:

• Patrolling the Retail Store Premises.
• Handing out baskets
• Greeting customers
• Investigating Disturbances, as well as monitoring the entry and exit points of the retail store.
• Confidently calling for help in emergency situations and operating theft-detecting devices.
