Job summary

Kingdom Group, a trusted partner to Tesco, is seeking a confident Retail Security Officer to join the team at Tesco Basildon Express. You will be responsible for maintaining a visible security presence and delivering excellent customer service in a fast-paced retail environment.

The role requires a valid SIA Licence, a professional and reliable approach, and the ability to work the shift pattern including weekends.

Responsibilities

• Patrol the store to ensure safety of customers, colleagues, and premises.

• Complete accurate reports and record observations.
• Work closely with Tesco colleagues to support day-to-day operations.
• Manage challenging situations calmly and professionally.

Retail Security Officer - Tesco Partnership

Location: Tesco Basildon Express, SS13 1PN
Pay: £13.72 per hour
Hours: 31.25 hours per week
Shifts:

• Thursday: 15:00 - 23:00
• Friday: 15:00 - 23:00
• Saturday: 15:00 - 23:00
• Sunday: Scheduled shift as required

Requirement: Valid SIA Licence Required

Key Responsibilities

• Patrolling the store to ensure the safety of customers, colleagues, and premises
• Acting as a visible deterrent to theft and anti-social behaviour

• Completing accurate reports and recording observations
• Working closely with Tesco colleagues to support day-to-day operations
• Managing challenging situations calmly and professionally

What We're Looking For

• Valid SIA Licence (essential)
• Full 5-year checkable work history
• Strong communication and customer service skills
• Professional, confident, and reliable approach
• Good attention to detail and sound judgement
• Previous security experience desirable but not essential
• Ability to work the required shift pattern, including weekends

• You will receive a contract of employment from your employer separately
• This role is initially on a temporary basis and is not directly employed by Kingdom Service Group
• There may be opportunities in the future to transfer onto a permanent Kingdom contract
