Job summary

Kingdom Services Group Ltd is seeking a Retail Security Officer at Tesco Scarborough Castle to provide a visible security presence and deliver excellent customer service. This flexi contract offers an average of 48 hours per week with shifts across early to late and 5 days in a 7-day rota.

Candidates must hold a valid SIA Security Licence and be able to work weekends and unsocial hours with a professional and calm approach.

Retail Security Officer (Flexi Contract)

Location: Tesco Scarborough Castle, Scarborough

Pay Rate: £13.47 per hour

Hours: Average 48 hours per week

Contract: Flexi Contract

Working Days: Monday to Sunday, 5 days out of 7 on a flexible rota

Shift Patterns: Various shifts between 06:00 and 00:00

Requirement: Valid SIA Security Licence essential

About The Role

In this role, you will provide a visible security presence, helping to maintain a safe and secure environment for customers, colleagues, and visitors. You will play a key role in reducing stock loss, preventing anti-social behaviour, and supporting the store team while delivering exceptional customer service.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct regular store patrols to maintain safety and security.
• Act as a visible deterrent against theft, loss, and anti-social behaviour.
• Monitor store activity and respond appropriately to incidents.
• Support colleagues in maintaining a safe retail environment.
• Complete accurate incident reports and associated documentation.
• Handle challenging situations professionally and confidently.
• Deliver excellent customer service and assist customers when required.
• Liaise effectively with store management and local authorities when necessary.

What We're Looking For

Working Hours

Candidates must be fully flexible and available to work across a variety of shifts, including:

• 06:00 to 14:00
• 12:00 to 20:00
• 14:00 to 23:00
• 16:00 to 00:00

Shift lengths are typically 8 to 9 hours per day, depending on business requirements.
