Job summary

Staffline, in partnership with TSS, is seeking a Retail Security Officer for Aldershot. The role requires a visible, uniformed presence to protect staff and customers and to report incidents using proper systems.

You will support loss prevention and ensure a safe environment, with opportunities for career progression within a large international company. Eligibility includes an SIA licence, strong communication, and comfort with digital devices.

Responsibilities

• Provide a visible uniformed deterrent to enhance safety and security of the premises and staff.
• Carry out loss prevention and ensure staff and visitor safety.
• Calmly deter potential troublemakers on site.
• Observe and report incidents using the correct reporting systems.
• Carry out duties as directed by the client or manager.
• Keep site knowledge up-to-date and note local developments.
• Understand and implement Fire and Safety evacuation procedures.
• Assist with staff and contractor searches if required by the Client.
• Ensure security base is clean and tidy.
• Conduct yourself in a professional manner with full uniform and licensed display.

Position: Retail Security Officer

Location: Aldershot

Pay Rate: £14.70 per hour

Hours: Various

Shifts: Various

SG / DS SIA licence required.

Your Time at Work

As a Retail Security Officer your duties include:

• To provide a visible uniformed deterrent, to contribute to the safety and security of the client's premises and staff
• To carry out Company Policy on loss prevention and ensure the safety of staff and visitors
• To lawfully deter potential troublemakers on site
• To observe and report incidents using the correct reporting systems
• To carry out all duties assigned by the client or manager to whom you are responsible
• To ensure site knowledge is kept up to date and developments at local level are identified
• To understand and implement any Fire and Safety evacuation procedures
• To assist, if required by the Client, with staff and contractor searches
• To ensure that the Security base is always maintained in a clean and tidy condition
• To conduct yourself, at all times, in a manner which will bring credit to yourself and the Company, ensuring full uniform is worn and SIA licence is clearly displayed
