Job summary

Urban Outfitters in Cheltenham is seeking a store team member to support management in delivering a creative, customer-focused environment and to uphold the VIBE philosophy across daily operations.

You will engage customers, participate in merchandising, and assist in training peers while maintaining stock, housekeeping, and safety standards. Strong communication and brand awareness are essential to success.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a retail environment – not required.
• Awareness of the Urban Outfitters brand and its appeal to the local market.
• Strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Deliver a positive, friendly experience by engaging the customer through conversation and service.
• Enhance the VIBE by focusing on customers during prime time selling hours.
• Provide a store experience that reflects the company’s mystery shop standards.
• Contribute to the overall VIBE in the store by being positive, respectful and helpful to others.
• Uphold company standards and act as a positive role model to peers.
• Work productively within the team and take initiative to work with others toward a common goal.
• Assist in the training and development of peers.
• Communicate positively and effectively with peers.
• Actively participate in daily and department meetings.
• Demonstrate proficiency in job knowledge (tills, shipment tasks, fittings room).
• Participate in processing of new shipment and help keep receiving/back stock clean and organized.
• Assist in timely completion of weekly tasks (markdowns, re-tickets, transfers, RTVs).
• Exhibit awareness of loss prevention and inventory controls.
• Adhere to health & safety regulations.
• Uphold store merchandising and cleanliness standards.
• Ensure merchandise is ticketed and floors well stocked.
• Support sales by merchandising and display projects.
• Be familiar with current product and trends.
