Job summary

Prospect Hospice in Swindon runs a charity shop where a Retail Sales Assistant helps customers, handles stock, pricing and merchandising, and supports volunteers to create a welcoming, positive shopping experience that funds essential care.

You will assist the Shop Manager with day-to-day operations, till procedures, and strive to achieve daily sales targets while maintaining high standards of service and safety.

Qualifications

• Provide excellent customer service to donors, customers and colleagues.
• Build sales and achieve daily targets through stock rotation and merchandising.
• Process and price donated stock, maximise revenue and support Gift Aid.
• Support volunteers and maintain welcoming shop environment.

Responsibilities

• Support Shop Manager and Assistant Manager with day-to-day shop operations.
• Follow till and cash-handling procedures, ensure security and health & safety.
• Provide cover across Prospect Hospice shops when required.
