Job summary

Tesco Stores Limited seeks a Mechanical Service Maintenance Technician covering Wolverhampton and surrounding areas to keep our stores safe, functional and welcoming for customers and colleagues alike.

You will perform planned and reactive maintenance across a range of mechanical systems and equipment, helping to keep operations running smoothly while prioritising safety, compliance and quality. Ongoing training and career growth opportunities are provided within a leading UK retailer.

Qualifications

• ONC or equivalent required.
• Recognised Mechanical Apprenticeship or NVQ Level 2/3.
• Full driving license required.
• Health & Safety awareness essential.
• Strong communication & stakeholder management skills.
• Office 365 knowledge beneficial.
• Completed all technical training upskilling modules relevant to skillset.

Responsibilities

• Respond to breakdowns swiftly and effectively to minimize downtime.
• Conduct inspections, testing and certification to ensure compliance and safe operation.
• Document all maintenance activity accurately using digital reporting tools.
• Collaborate with site operations teams to ensure work is performed safely and with minimal disruption.
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance maintenance procedures.
