Job summary

Tesco is seeking a Maintenance Technician to cover Dudley, Lichfield, West Brom and surrounding areas. You will help maintain safe, welcoming stores and collaborate with colleagues to deliver planned and reactive maintenance across our estate.

Qualifications

• ONC or equivalent qualification required.
• Full UK driving licence is essential.
• Good understanding of health & safety principles.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Digital confidence including Office 365 and mobile technology.
• Commitment to ongoing learning and technical development.

Responsibilities

• Build positive relationships with external contractors and coordinate repair and maintenance activities.
• Collaborate with colleagues to deliver excellent service and share knowledge.
• Manage a varied workload, balancing planned maintenance with reactive repairs.
• Support store leadership by keeping equipment and facilities safe and operational.
• Deliver maintenance with minimal disruption to customers and colleagues.
• Ensure Tesco sites remain safe, compliant and welcoming.
• Follow planned work schedules for efficient repairs.
• Carry out general property and store maintenance activities.
• Use mobile devices to manage work schedules and record updates.
• Align with Tesco values, serving customers, communities and the planet.
• Contribute ideas through local and national meetings.
• Champion an inclusive culture where everyone feels welcome.
