Job summary

Tesco Stores Limited is seeking a Maintenance Technician to keep our Waltham Abbey stores safe and functional. You’ll work as part of a skilled team, carrying out planned and reactive maintenance across a range of systems and equipment, ensuring a reliable shopping environment.

You’ll interact with external contractors, collaborate with colleagues, and use tablets to view daily schedules, aiming for first-time fixes while prioritising safety and quality.

Qualifications

• ONC or equivalent technical qualification.
• Full driving license.
• Health & Safety awareness.
• Good communication and collaboration.
• Office 365 knowledge.
• Tablet-based daily work scheduling.

Responsibilities

• Ensure Tesco sites are safe and functioning for customers and colleagues.
• Follow planned work schedules to achieve first-time fixes and improve efficiency.
• Collaborate with team members and share best practices.
• Carry out general day-to-day store and property maintenance.
• Use mobile devices to drive updates and work completion.
• Represent Tesco values and maintain a positive attitude in uniform.
• Attend local and national meetings and provide input.
