About The Role

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a dynamic and proactive Retail Manager to join the busy trading team at WWT Slimbridge Wetland Centre. The role involves developing and managing an inspirational retail environment that offers an excellent visitor experience. Responsibilities include:

1. Shape the visitor experience by creating a warm and welcoming retail environment representing the WWT brand.
2. Deliver and exceed sales targets to generate profits supporting WWT's conservation work.
3. Ensure all team members engage with WWT’s mission and champion our work to save wetlands for wildlife and people.

This is a full-time, fixed-term contract for 6 months, working 37.5 hours per week, including weekends and bank holidays.

About You

To join as our Retail Manager, you will have:

1. Significant experience in a relevant trading or commercial environment.
2. Experience in team management, training, and development.
3. A proven track record of meeting or exceeding departmental targets.
4. Ability to manage cost margins and overheads effectively.
5. Exceptional standards in Customer Care.
