Job summary

Certas Energy is hiring a Retail Food Service Assistant in Tredegar to deliver high-quality food and exceptional customer service. You’ll handle till transactions, food preparation, and maintain hygiene standards while supporting forecourt and store operations.

The role offers 8 hours per week at £13.45 per hour, with staff discounts, pension, and life assurance as part of the benefits package. Training is provided, with focus on safety and compliance.

Qualifications

• Passion for customer service and food preparation.
• Positive, reliable and hardworking attitude.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

• Food service or retail experience is desirable but not essential, as full training will be provided.
• Applicants must be aged 18 or over due to licensing regulations and lone working requirements.

Responsibilities

• Preparing and serving hot and cold food and beverages to company standards.
• Providing friendly and professional customer service.
• Processing transactions accurately and efficiently at the till.
• Maintaining high standards of food hygiene, safety and cleanliness.
• Replenishing stock and ensuring food displays are well presented.
• Ensuring compliance with health, safety and company procedures.
• Supporting the smooth operation of the forecourt, store and food service area.
