Job summary

Morrisons offers a three-year Degree Apprenticeship in Retail Leadership (Level 6), studying toward a BSc (Hons) Retail & Business Management at the University of Bradford. You’ll rotate through store departments, gain hands-on leadership experience, and aim to become a Store Manager. A UK driving licence and willingness to commute up to 25 miles are required.

The programme blends paid work with degree study and provides progression into the Store Manager development path.

• Achieve Store Manager level after three years with joint accountability for daily operations.
• Potential placement in the retail support office during the scheme.
• Be prepared to commute up to 25 miles and hold a full UK driving licence.

Job description

On our three-year programme, you’ll need to think quickly on your feet as you’ll be right at the heart of the action. It’s all about helping to keep our store running smoothly as you learn what’s involved in store operations and serving our customers, alongside your studies.

• You'll work across all areas of the store gaining a full overview of store operations and systems
• You’ll then complete leadership training to support your initial development towards leading your own departments during the scheme
• You’ll move through a series of rotations in our supermarkets and convenience stores, with the potential to take on an additional placement in our retail support office during your scheme
• By the end of your three years, you'll be a Manager in one of our stores. That means you’ll be responsible for a department and a team of colleagues, holding joint accountability with other Managers for the day to day operational running of the store
• If you have what it takes, you could then apply for our Store Manager development programme
• Flexibility to move between stores and locations - you may need to commute up to 25 miles
• A full UK driving licence
