Job summary

bp retail is seeking a temporary customer service assistant for an initial 6-week contract. You’ll join a fast-paced store environment and provide welcoming service while working as part of a collaborative team. Training will be provided to help you develop the necessary skills from day one.

You will handle safety, stock, and customer needs, assist with promotions and loyalty schemes, and maintain cleanliness across the store and forecourt. Applicants aged 16+ are welcome.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated passion for customer service.
• Ability to work as part of a fast-paced retail team.
• Willingness to undertake online and on-the-job training.

Responsibilities

• Ensure safety of yourself, colleagues and customers in line with bp policies.
• Serve customers efficiently and meet their needs promptly.

• Prepare and serve food and drinks from the Wild Bean Café.
• Take in deliveries, replenish stock and manage stock tasks.
• Support bp offers, promotions, and loyalty schemes.
• Carry out cleaning duties in store, facilities and forecourt.

We don’t expect all who apply to have previous retail experience, as you will be provided with online and on-the-job training to support you to develop the skills and capabilities you will need to perform your role at bp.

What you will be responsible for

• Making sure that the safety of yourself, your colleagues and our customers, in line with bp policies and procedures, is your top priority
• Serving customers efficiently, ensuring their needs are met promptly and effectively
• Fostering a positive and inclusive work environment, in line with bp beliefs
• Preparing and serving food and drink items from our Wild Bean Café
• Taking in deliveries, replenishing stock and completing stock management tasks
• Being proactive in supporting bp’s offers, promotions and loyalty scheme
• Carrying out cleaning duties in all aspects of the store, facilities and forecourt

This is an initial 6 week temporary contract. As a valued member of the bp retail team, you will receive full training and support to help you succeed in the role from day one.
