Job summary

bp retail in East Grinstead is seeking a Customer Service Assistant for a six-week temporary assignment. You will join a fast-paced store team and help deliver friendly service to customers.

You don’t need prior retail experience, as online and on-the-job training will support your development. You will learn till operations, beverage and food preparation at the Wild Bean Café, and how promotions and bp loyalty schemes work, while helping keep the store clean.

Responsibilities

• Safety first: ensure safety of yourself, colleagues, and customers per bp policies.
• Serve customers and operate the till.
• Prepare and serve beverages and food items from the Wild Bean Café.
• Stock management: take deliveries, replenish stock, rotate stock.

What we are looking for

We don’t expect all who apply to have previous retail experience, as you will be provided with online and on the job training to support you to develop the skills and capabilities you will need to perform your role at bp.

What you will be responsible for

• Making sure that safety of yourself, your colleagues, and the customer, in line with bp policies and procedures, is your top priority
• Serving our customers and operating the till
• Preparing and serving beverage and food items from our Wild Bean Café
• Stock management – from taking deliveries, to replenishing the store and stock rotation
• Being proactive with supporting bp’s many offers, promotions and bp loyalty scheme
• Carrying out cleaning duties in all aspects of the store, facilities, and forecourt.
