Job summary

BP Retail seeks temporary Customer Service Assistants for a 6-week period in Basildon. You will join a fast-paced retail team, handling till duties, serving from the Wild Bean Café, and supporting stock and store presentation.

No extensive prior retail experience is required as training is provided online and on the job to develop the necessary customer service skills for BP’s standards, promotions and loyalty schemes.

Qualifications

• No prior retail experience required; full training will be provided online and on the job.
• Delivery of friendly customer service while maintaining bp policies and standards.

Responsibilities

• Ensuring safety of yourself, colleagues and customers in line with bp policies and procedures.
• Serving customers and operating the till.
• Preparing and serving beverages and food items from the Wild Bean Café.
• Stock management from deliveries to replenishment and stock rotation.
• Promoting bp offers, promotions and loyalty schemes.
• Carrying out cleaning duties in-store, facilities, and forecourt.

We don’t expect all who apply to have previous retail experience, as you will be provided with online and on the job training to support you to develop the skills and capabilities you will need to perform your role at bp.

What you will be responsible for

• Making sure that safety of yourself, your colleagues, and the customer, in line with bp policies and procedures, is your top priority
• Serving our customers and operating the till
• Preparing and serving beverage and food items from our Wild Bean Café
• Stock management – from taking deliveries, to replenishing the store and stock rotation
• Being proactive with supporting bp’s many offers, promotions and bp loyalty scheme
• Carrying out cleaning duties in all aspects of the store, facilities, and forecourt.
