Job summary

BP Retail is seeking a Customer Service Assistant to join our team in a fast-paced store. You will assist customers, prepare and serve items at the Wild Bean Café, and collaborate with colleagues to keep shelves stocked and the store clean.

No prior retail experience is required, as online and on-the-job training will support your development. We offer flexible hours, paid holiday, a pension, share save scheme and wellbeing benefits to help you balance work and life.

Responsibilities

• Prioritise safety of yourself, colleagues and customers in line with bp policies.
• Serve customers promptly and effectively to meet their needs.
• Foster a positive and inclusive work environment in line with bp beliefs.
• Prepare and serve food and drink items from the Wild Bean Café.
• Receive deliveries, replenish stock and manage stock during shifts.
• Support bp offers, promotions and bp loyalty schemes.
• Carry out cleaning duties in store, facilities and forecourt.

What we are looking for

Individuals with a passion for customer service and who are energised by working together as a collaborative team within a fast-paced retail environment. We don’t expect all who apply to have previous retail experience, as you will be provided with online and on the job training to support you to develop the skills and capabilities you will need to perform your role at bp.

What you will be responsible for

• Making sure that safety of yourself, your colleagues, and the customer, in line with bp policies and procedures, is your top priority
• Serving customers efficiently, ensuring their needs are met promptly and effectively
• Fostering a positive and inclusive work environment, in line with bp beliefs
• Preparing and serving food and drink items from our Wild Bean Café
• Taking in deliveries, replenishing stock and stock management tasks
• Being proactive with supporting bp's offers, promotions and bp loyalty scheme
• Carrying out cleaning duties in all aspects of the store, facilities, and forecourt
