Job summary

Arcus FM Limited is hiring two part-time In Store Cleaners for Sainsbury’s Middlesbrough store at £12.71 per hour. Shifts total 18 hours per week: fixed term until March 2027 and permanent contracts with overtime opportunities, with early morning, morning, and evening slots. Immediate start available. Training provided to keep stores clean and safe.

Cleaners will perform daily tasks, operate cleaning machinery, and ensure high standards of cleanliness and safety in a busy retail environment.

Qualifications

• Previous cleaning experience is beneficial but not essential; on-the-job training will be provided.
• Eye for detail and cleanliness.
• Positive attitude to cleaning and customer service.

Responsibilities

• Carry out cleaning tasks including mopping, vacuuming, wiping and sweeping to keep stores clean.
• Clean toilets, surfaces, ceilings and windows when required.
• Attend to outdoor areas like trolley bays and remove leaves/debris.
• Follow health and safety procedures at all times.

At Arcus, cleaners are a vital part of our company, and we are looking to recruit two part time In Store Cleaners based in Sainsbury's Middlesbrough store with an hourly rate of £12.71.

Immediate start is available.

Sainsbury’s stores are open 7 days a week and here at Arcus we offer various shift patterns with 5 and 6 day working available. Our shift patterns consist of early morning, morning, afternoon, and evening shifts with weekend work. The current shift pattern for this role is:

18 hours per week, fixed term until March 2027

Sunday: 07:00 to 10:00

Monday: 06:00 to 09:00

Tuesday: Day off

Wednesday: 06:00 to 09:00

Thursday: 06:00 to 09:00

Friday: 06:00 to 09:00

Saturday: 06:00 to 09:00

18 hours per week, permanent

Sunday: 07:00 to 10:00

Monday: 06:30 to 09:30

Tuesday: 06:30 to 09:30

Wednesday: 06:30 to 09:30

Thursday: Day off

Friday: 06:30 to 09:30

Saturday: 06:30 to 09:30

You will also have some opportunity to increase your hours through overtime.

Arcus cleaners take pride in keeping Sainsbury’s supermarkets clean and safe for its customers. Cleaners will complete daily cleaning tasks to maintain the highest standard of cleaning within our Sainsburys stores. Tasks will consist of but are not limited to:

• Operating machinery
• Carry out thorough cleaning activities including mopping, vacuuming, wiping, and sweeping to ensure stores are kept clean.
• At times you could be in-store cleaning toilets, surfaces, ceilings, windows or even oven canopies
• At other times you could be working outside keeping trolley bays clean, free of leaves and debris
• Ensure all health and safety procedures are applied

Arcus will support you through full training

What will you need?

Previous cleaning experience is beneficial but not essential as on the job training will be supplied
