Job summary

Arcus FM is hiring a part-time In Store Cleaner for Sainsbury's Kendal, with immediate start. Join a friendly team delivering sparkling results in a customer-focused supermarket environment, at an hourly rate of £12.71 with 30 hours per week.

Shifts include Sunday to Tuesday and Saturday 12:00–18:30, with 5 and 6 day patterns and occasional overtime. You’ll perform daily cleaning tasks, mop, vacuum, wipe surfaces, and may clean toilets, windows, and outdoor areas, under full training.

Qualifications

• Previous cleaning experience is beneficial but not essential.
• Eye for detail and cleanliness.
• Positive attitude to cleaning and customer service.

Responsibilities

• Operate cleaning machinery and perform daily cleaning tasks.
• Mop, vacuum, wipe and sweep to keep stores clean.
• Clean toilets, surfaces, ceilings, windows or ovens when required.
• Maintain trolley bays outside and remove leaves/debris.
• Follow health and safety procedures at all times.

At Arcus, cleaners are a vital part of our company, and we are looking to recruit a part time In Store Cleaner based in Sainsbury's Kendal store on a permanent basis. 30 hours per week with an hourly rate of £12.71.

Immediate start is available.

Sainsbury’s stores are open 7 days a week and here at Arcus we offer various shift patterns with 5 and 6 day working available. Our shift patterns consist of early morning, morning, afternoon, and evening shifts with weekend work. The current shift pattern for this role is:

Sunday: 12:00 to 18:30

Monday: 12:00 to 18:30

Tuesday: 12:00 to 18:30

Wednesday: 12:00 to 18:30

Thursday: Day Off

Friday: Day Off

Saturday: 12:00 to 18:30

You will also have some opportunity to increase your hours through overtime.

Arcus cleaners take pride in keeping Sainsbury’s supermarkets clean and safe for its customers. Cleaners will complete daily cleaning tasks to maintain the highest standard of cleaning within our Sainsburys stores. Tasks will consist of but are not limited to:

• Operating machinery
• Carry out thorough cleaning activities including mopping, vacuuming, wiping, and sweeping to ensure stores are kept clean.
• At times you could be in-store cleaning toilets, surfaces, ceilings, windows or even oven canopies
• At other times you could be working outside keeping trolley bays clean, free of leaves and debris
• Ensure all health and safety procedures are applied

Arcus will support you through full training

What will you need?

Previous cleaning experience is beneficial but not essential as on the job training will be supplied
