Job summary

Arcus FM is hiring a part-time In Store Cleaner for Sainsbury's Biggar Road store on a fixed term basis until 31 December 2026. The role is 16 hours per week at £12.71 per hour, with immediate start and the possibility of overtime.

Shifts include early mornings and weekends, with various patterns available and pay monthly. Applicants should have a positive attitude, good attention to detail and customer service mindset.

Qualifications

• Previous cleaning experience is beneficial but not essential.
• On-the-job training will be provided.
• NFC-enabled smartphone required to access Arcus Connect App.

Responsibilities

• Carry out daily cleaning tasks to maintain high standards in-store.
• Operate cleaning machinery and equipment as required.
• Clean toilets, surfaces, ceilings, windows when needed and keep external areas tidy.
• Ensure health and safety procedures are applied.

At Arcus, cleaners are a vital part of our company, and we are looking to recruit a part time In Store Cleaner based in Sainsbury's Biggar Road store on a fixed term basis until 31 December 2026. 16 hours per week with an hourly rate of £12.71.

Immediate start is available.

Sainsbury’s stores are open 7 days a week and here at Arcus we offer various shift patterns with 5 and 6 day working available. Our shift patterns consist of early morning, morning, afternoon, and evening shifts with weekend work. The current shift pattern for this role is:

Sunday: Day off

Monday: 06:00 to 09:00

Tuesday: 06:00 to 09:00

Wednesday: 06:00 to 09:00

Thursday: 06:00 to 09:00

Friday: 06:00 to 10:00

Saturday: Day off

You will also have some opportunity to increase your hours through overtime.

Arcus cleaners take pride in keeping Sainsbury’s supermarkets clean and safe for its customers. Cleaners will complete daily cleaning tasks to maintain the highest standard of cleaning within our Sainsburys stores. Tasks will consist of but are not limited to:

• Operating machinery
• Carry out thorough cleaning activities including mopping, vacuuming, wiping, and sweeping to ensure stores are kept clean.
• At times you could be in-store cleaning toilets, surfaces, ceilings, windows or even oven canopies
• At other times you could be working outside keeping trolley bays clean, free of leaves and debris
• Ensure all health and safety procedures are applied

Arcus will support you through full training

What will you need?

Previous cleaning experience is beneficial but not essential as on the job training will be supplied

An eye for detail and cleanliness

A positive attitude to cleaning and customer service

Please note that you will need to provide a smartphone that has NFC capability to access our Arcus Connect App that we use for recording time and attendance. This is a condition of your employment with us.
