Job summary

Superdrug is seeking an Assistant Store Manager Designate to support store teams across multiple locations within your area. The role involves day‑to‑day leadership, promoting sales and delivering great customer service while traveling to different stores until a permanent base is assigned.

You’ll work closely with store managers to recruit and develop teams, drive promotions, manage stock and merchandising, and ensure smooth operations across locations.

Qualifications

• Experience in retail management, ideally 1+ years.
• Passion for customer service and sales.
• Strong decision‑making and problem‑solving skills.
• Results‑driven mindset with a track record of hitting targets.
• Willingness to carry out piercing services (training provided).
• Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle.

Location: Designate Role - willing to travel within 1 hour of your base store until assigned a permanent location.

Hours per Week: 39 hours

Shift pattern: Full-time - flexible shift patterns across mornings; afternoons; evenings and weekends, will be discussed further at interview.

Salary: Up to £33,000 per annum

The Role

As an Assistant Store Manager Designate, you’ll travel between different stores in your area, supporting where you’re needed most. It’s a great way to meet new teams, build your skills, and enjoy plenty of variety in your day. You won’t be on the move forever though this role is designed to help you grow, with the goal of moving into a permanent store and developing your career.

Day to day you’ll work alongside the store manager to:

• Bringing fresh ideas from your previous experience in retail management, ideally 1+ years

• Strong decision‑making & problem‑solving skills.
• A results‑driven mindset with a love for hitting targets.
• Willingness to carry out piercing services for our customers – with full training provided (Optional)
• This role involves travel across stores in the area; therefore, a full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle is preferred.
