Job summary

Aramark UK is hiring a Retail Assistant at Dale Barracks to deliver friendly, high-quality service and ensure a smooth shopping experience for customers. The role involves till operation, stock management, and supporting the retail unit opening and closing.

You will join a team committed to excellent service, with full training provided and DBS checks required. The position is part-time, 20 hours per week, with weekend shifts on some days.

Qualifications

• Previous retail or customer service experience is helpful, but full training is provided.
• Must be able to pass DBS checks and meet UK work eligibility.
• Over 18 years old.

Responsibilities

• Serve customers and process payments, including coffee and lottery.
• Operate and cash up till.
• Upsell.
• Keep shelves stocked and displays looking great.
• Receive deliveries and manage stock levels.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and tidy workspace.
• Follow food hygiene and health & safety standards.
• Support opening and closing the retail unit.

Pay rate: £12.71 per hour (£13,218.40)
Contract type: Permanent, part-time, 20 hours per week, 5 days out of 7 (including some weekends)

What you'll do:

• Serve customers and process payments accurately, including coffee and lottery service
• Operating and cashing up the till
• Up selling
• Keep shelves stocked and displays looking great
• Receive deliveries and manage stock levels
• Maintain a clean, safe, and tidy workspace
• Follow food hygiene and health & safety standards
• Support with opening and closing the retail unit.

What we're looking for:

• You've lived in the UK for the past 3 years and have the legal right to work here years and have the legal right to work here
• Able to pass full security vetting and DBS checks
• Over 18
• Previous retail or customer service experience is helpful, but not essential - we'll provide full training
• Comfortable working as part of a team and occasionally on your own
