York Teaching Hospital NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Band 6 Resuscitation Officer to lead delivery of high‑quality resuscitation training and clinical support across the Trust, with part‑time hours based at York Hospital and occasional travel to other locations.

The role focuses on Basic and Immediate Life Support education, equipment maintenance, and involvement in audits and governance, with opportunities to progress to advanced courses and greater governance responsibilities.

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse/ODP/Paramedic with post-registration clinical experience in an acute setting.
• Ability to teach and support staff across professional roles.
• Interest in CPD and completing instructor courses.

Responsibilities

• Deliver Basic and Immediate Life Support education.
• Assist in maintaining resuscitation equipment.
• Contribute to audits, data collection and service improvement.
• Report outcomes to Resuscitation Team Lead.
