Job summary

Mid and South Essex NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Band 7 Trigger Response / Resuscitation Officer to support deteriorating patients across hospital areas. The role involves leading resuscitation training, responding to calls, and improving patient safety.

The post requires registered nursing or allied health professional status, with EPALS/NLS/RCUK instructor capabilities or commitment to obtain them. Hours are 37.5 per week, with 24/7 cover on site.

Qualifications

• Registered practitioner (RN or AHP) with current UK registration.
• EPALS and NLS provider experience preferred.
• RCUK instructor status or willingness to train is expected.

Responsibilities

• Support delivery of clinical practice for deteriorating patients.
• Lead and coordinate internal and external training in resuscitation.
• Attend deteriorating patient, cardiac arrest and trauma calls as part of the team.
• Promote patient safety and audit activities related to resuscitation.
