Job summary

EDESIA in Bath is seeking a restaurant supervisor to assist management and deliver first class service. You will be immaculately presented, attentive and proactive, with the ability to respond quickly to guest and management needs.

You will identify training requirements, organise on-the-job and theoretical training, support beverage team, coach new wait staff, supervise floor team and ensure hygiene and service standards are maintained.

• Train all employees to perform duties efficiently.
• Coach new food runners and waiters during their first week.
• Supervise floorteam to maintain service standards.
• Lead regular departmental communications meetings.
• Develop the team by leading by example and maintaining high morale.
• Monitor standards and supply of restaurant equipment.
• Be aware of hygiene, licensing laws, weights and measures as applied to the restaurant.
• Adhere to cleaning checklists and opening/closing procedures.
• Ensure manager closing duties are covered when the manager is absent.
• Control the bar during service, take orders and issue bills.

• Adhere to cleaning checklists and opening/closing procedures and ensure completion.
• Ensure manager closing duties are performed when the manager is absent.
