Job summary

Harri is seeking a Food & Beverage Supervisor for the Gravel Pit Café-Bar at Wyboston Lakes. You will oversee day-to-day operations, manage shifts, assist banqueting events, and support duty management to ensure smooth service in a fast-paced environment.

You’ll lead a friendly team, uphold high customer service standards, and drive upselling and cost-conscious ideas while maintaining a welcoming atmosphere for guests and staff alike.

Qualifications

• Experience running a busy bar and managing rotas, stock, and ordering.
• Confident in managing busy shifts and a loud venue.
• Excellent customer service and people skills.
• Able to upsell and motivate team members.
• Strong communication with customers and staff.
• Flexible rota availability across seven days.
• Able to think on feet and solve problems quickly.
• Creative with cost-effective ideas and keeping up with trends.

About this role…

An excellent opportunity has arisen to join our team as a Food & Beverage Supervisor. You will be working closely with the team to oversee the smooth day to day running of the department. Your key focus will be running our Gravel Pit Café-Bar and assisting the team with banqueting and duty management shifts.

The Gravel Pit Café-Bar offers a great range of smashed burgers, pizzas and wings, backed up with great hospitality from our team. A wide range of drinks are on offer, along with sky sports and plenty of gamification including shuffleboard, electronic darts, and PlayStation 5’s.

If you want to work in a buzzing, upbeat and fast-paced atmosphere, this is the role for you!

What we’re looking for…

• Knowledge of running a busy bar including basic knowledge of rotas, F&B systems, beverage stock and ordering
• Confidence in running busy shifts and managing loud atmosphere
• Excellent customer service and people skills
• The ability to upsell and motivate team members into doing this
• Excellent communication to all customers, including team members
• The ability to delegate tasks and supervise team members
• Flexibility to work on a rota basis across seven days a week
• The ability to think on your feet, respond quickly and problem solve effectively
• Have the confidence in thinking of cost-effective new ideas, keeping on top of trends and being creative in everything you do
