Tim Hortons is a part of Canada’s fabric, with over 5,000 quick service restaurants worldwide, serving over 2 billion cups of freshly brewed coffee. We are expanding in the UK with plans to open hundreds of new restaurants over the next 10 years.

Key Responsibilities

As a Tim Hortons Restaurant Shift/Floor Manager, you will support the Restaurant Manager with responsibilities including:

  • Customer Service
  • Lead by example, prioritizing customer needs
  • Ensure customer focus in all operations
  • Accurate staff scheduling to meet demand
  • Support operational efficiency
  • Conduct regular store walks from the customer's perspective

People

  • Encourage staff suggestions and address concerns
  • Provide performance feedback, set goals, and offer support
  • Create a positive team environment, ensuring dignity and respect for all employees
  • Handle performance management in collaboration with HR

Driving Sales

  • Understand sales trends, popular products, and peak times
  • Ensure proper merchandising and stock levels
  • Coach staff on upselling and suggestive selling
  • Identify and implement improvements to enhance sales and operations

Operations

  • Monitor KPIs such as sales, employee turnover, food safety, and health & safety standards
  • Maintain composure under pressure
  • Manage stock orders and quality control
  • Schedule preventative maintenance for equipment
  • Oversee inventory and opening/closing procedures
  • Ensure cleanliness, food hygiene, and customer experience standards
  • Follow health and safety protocols, reporting incidents promptly
  • Work flexible shifts as part of the management team

Key Requisites

  • Previous experience in restaurant management
  • Flexible and disciplined work approach
  • Experience in food environments is advantageous but not essential
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Good numeracy and literacy skills
  • High standards of food hygiene and safety
  • Experience handling customer complaints
  • Adherence to health and safety procedures
