We’re currently looking for a personable Restaurant Receptionist/Host to join our team at Searcys at The Gherkin. You will perform and assist in the smooth running of the reception desk, ensuring all Searcys standards and client requirements are adhered to at all times. Your responsibilities will include admin tasks, taking phone calls, making reservations, and dealing with guests' requests. You will also host busy lunch and dinner services in the restaurant and bar.

APPLICANTS MUST HAVE VALID RIGHT TO WORK IN THE UK!

Key Responsibilities:

• Greet all venue guests on entering the building and ensure they feel welcome.
• Ensure check-in and check-out procedures are followed regarding registration and reservations.
• Take reservations and verify all information.
• Upsell and promote venue facilities whenever possible.
• Record and distribute messages promptly and charge accordingly.
• Check IDs of all persons entering the venue as required.
• Keep the reception area clean and tidy at all times.
• Communicate with management and team for assistance.
• Provide feedback from customers to the appropriate manager.
• Host busy restaurant and bar with professionalism and a smile.

Qualifications:

• Proven track record in delivering outstanding 5-star service within a corporate or hospitality environment.
• Previous relevant reception/host experience is welcome but not essential.
• Organizational skills.
• Computer literacy.
• Keen proactivity.
• Experience with ad-hoc administration tasks (preferable).
• Problem-solving skills.
