We’re currently looking for a personable Restaurant Receptionist/Host to join our team at Searcys at The Gherkin. You will perform and assist in the smooth running of the reception desk, ensuring all Searcys standards and client requirements are met. Your duties will include admin tasks, handling phone calls, making reservations, and guest requests. You will host busy lunch and dinner services in the restaurant and bar.

Key Responsibilities:

• Greet all venue guests on entering and ensure they feel welcome.
• Ensure check-in and check-out procedures are followed, including registration and reservations.
• Take reservations and verify information.
• Upsell and promote venue facilities whenever possible.
• Record and distribute messages promptly and charge accordingly.
• Check IDs of all entering guests as required.
• Keep the reception area clean and tidy.
• Communicate with management and team for assistance.
• Relay customer feedback to the appropriate manager.
• Host busy restaurant and bar with professionalism and a smile.

Qualifications

• Proven track record in delivering outstanding 5-star service in a corporate or hospitality environment.
• Previous reception/host experience is welcome but not essential.
• Strong organisational skills.
• Computer literate.
• Proactive attitude.
• Experience with ad-hoc administration tasks is a plus.
• Problem-solving skills.
