Job summary

Maison Estelle, a private members’ club in Mayfair, seeks a Restaurant Host to create a warm, personalised guest journey and manage reservations with a high level of discretion. You will build lasting relationships with members, coordinate with management, and ensure VIP guests receive tailored service.

The role requires excellent English, strong hospitality passion, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Previous host experience in a busy, high-volume hospitality operation.
• Computer literacy with MS Office, SevenRooms or CRM systems.
• Excellent time-management and prioritisation during busy periods.
• Strong command of English and exceptional communication with guests and colleagues.

• Tailor experiences for VIP members and their guests.
• Anticipate member needs and provide personalised service.

• Ensure issues are logged and followed up to closure.
• Oversee end-to-end member journey to feel hosted at home.
• Suggest improvements to increase accuracy, efficiency and cost savings.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

The key responsibilities as the Restaurant Hostwill include but are not limited to:

• Creating a warm, welcoming and lasting impression for our members.
• Striving to build genuine relationships with all members.
• Answering phone calls, taking reservations and answering questions or queries members may have and ensure all follow up is carried out promptly.
• Being aware of all VIP members and their guests visiting us and ensure their experience is tailored appropriately and inform restaurant management of their arrival.
• Anticipating to members needs and provide them with a personalised experience.
• Feeling empowered to make a decision that will enhance the member experience or defuse any complaints which may arise.
• Ensuring any issues that may arise are dealt with immediately and to conclusion, logged accurately and promptly followed up.
• Taking responsibility for the end-to-end member journey ensuring every member feels like they are in a hosted home.
• Suggesting changes or improvements to increase accuracy, efficiency, cost reductions and to improve our member experience.

WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR

• Previous hostexperience in a busy and high-volume hospitality operation.
• Computer literate (MS Office, SevenRooms, CRM systems)
• Planning ability; able to work unsupervised.
• Attention to detail, able to identify mistakes and request clarification.
• Excellent time-management skills; comfortable prioritising what is important during busy periods.
• Excellent communication skills and comfortable talking to colleagues, senior management, and members.
• Strong command of English.
• A genuine passion for hospitality and hosting.
