Thatchers Hotel in Surrey countryside is seeking a Restaurant & Bar Team member to deliver exceptional service in a vibrant, guest-focused setting. You’ll learn menus, wines, cocktails and bar operations while supporting events and hospitality routines.

The role offers opportunities to develop through training, with flexible shifts and staff benefits in a charming Tudor-style hotel with 87 rooms and multiple event spaces.

Qualifications

• Positive, can-do attitude towards customers and team
• Enthusiasm for learning about food and drink including spirits, wines, cocktails
• Willingness to understand different food styles and service standards
• Strong communication skills and enjoyment of guest interaction in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to take orders, serve food and drink, process payments, and ensure excellent guest experience
• Commitment to meeting site service standards and teamwork
• Understanding of preparing coffees and serving alcohol/wine in bar and restaurant settings
• Availability to work opening/closing shifts, including weekends/bank holidays (pro-rata)
• Willingness to develop through in-house and external training
• Helping with events, functions and other F&B requirements

Thatchers Hotel is a charming Tudor style property set in the heart of the glorious Surrey countryside. With 87 newly refurbished rooms, with multiple event and conference spaces, Thatcher's is a stunning property to work within.

How you'll bring the magic to the floor being part of our Restaurant & Bar Team.

• Has a positive, can‑do attitude towards customers and other team.
• A genuine enthusiasm for learning about all things food and drink — including spirits, wines, cocktails, and delivering the “perfect serve”.
• A willingness to understand different food styles and service standards, learn the menus, and confidently explain dishes to customers.
• Strong communication skills and enjoyment of interacting with guests in a lively, fast‑paced environment.
• The ability to deliver great service — taking orders, serving food and drink, processing payments, and ensuring every guest has an excellent experience.
• Commitment to meeting site service standards and working effectively as part of the team.
• A developing or good understanding of preparing coffees and serving alcohol and wine in both bar and restaurant settings.
• Availability to work opening and closing shifts, including weekends and bank holidays on a pro‑rata basis.
• A willingness to continue your development through in‑house and external training sessions.
• Helping with events, functions and other F&B requirements
