Job summary

The Bricklayer's Arms in Colchester is seeking a Bar Team Leader to guide our bar operations with warmth and personality. You will lead service from the front, take guest orders, manage a small team, and ensure excellent drinks and coffee service in a bar and restaurant environment.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as part of a Food & Beverage team; leadership experience is advantageous.
• Drive improvements in standards across all F&B areas with attention to detail.
• Ability to lead, train, and maintain high standards while being fair and consistent.

Responsibilities

• Lead service from the front - taking guest orders, serving drinks and food, and processing payments.
• Ensure all site standards of service and guest experience are met by the team.
• Open and close shifts including cash handling and end-of-day procedures.
• Mentor the Food & Beverage team to deliver great service and consistency.
• Engage in ongoing training and development with in-house and external sessions.

To be a successfulBarTeam leaderyou will need;

• Proven experience as part of a Food & Beverage Team, a leadership role is advantageous
• Thirst to drive and improve standards across all areas of our food and beverage areas, with an eye for detail- delivering best in class experiences with personality and warmth
• Ability to lead, inspire, train a team, helping maintain high standards whilst being fair and consistent

• Lead service from the front - taking guests orders, serving food and drinks, taking payments and giving great service to customers
• Meet all site standards of service & lead the team to do the same leading to a great guest experience.
• Have a good understanding serving coffees, alcohol and wine to both a bar and restaurant environment.
• Opening and closing shifts, including cash ups and end of day sign offs
• Aid in developing & mentoring the Food & Beverage team to deliver great service.
• Have a willingness to continue your development with both in-house and external training sessions.
