The Hog's Back Hotel & Spa is seeking a Restaurant and Bar Team Member to join our vibrant team on a bustling hospitality floor. Based on a wooded ridge near Guildford, this stylish destination offers a restaurant, bar, leisure facilities and 96 bedrooms, with a focus on outstanding guest experiences.

You’ll grow through in-house and external training, deliver the perfect serve, handle orders and payments, and help our team meet service standards in a fast-paced, friendly environment.

Qualifications

• Energy and can-do attitude towards customers and team.
• Enthusiasm for learning about food and drinks — including spirits, wines, cocktails, and delivering the “perfect serve”.
• Willingness to understand different menus and service standards, learn the menus, and confidently explain dishes to customers.
• Strong communication skills and enjoyment of interacting with guests in a lively, fast-paced environment.
• Ability to take orders, serve food and drink, process payments, and ensure every guest has an excellent experience.
• Commitment to meeting site service standards and working effectively as part of the team.
• Developing or good understanding of preparing coffees and serving alcohol and wine in both bar and restaurant settings.
• Availability to work opening and closing shifts, including weekends and bank holidays on a pro‑rata basis.
• Willingness to continue your development through in‑house and external training sessions.

Responsibilities

• Take orders and serve food and drink to guests.
