Job summary

Gateshead Health NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Band 3 Therapy Technical Instructor to join our supportive team in Gateshead. You will assist therapists with assessment, treatment and rehabilitation for patients with respiratory conditions across inpatient, outpatient and community settings, helping with discharge planning and pulmonary rehab delivery.

Qualifications

• Therapy-based competencies expected, ideally from NHS Band 2/3 level.
• Experience delivering rehabilitation programmes under supervision.
• Excellent communication, organisational and team-working skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide a high standard of therapy assistant service to ward, group and clinic based patients.
• Carry out tasks delegated from registered staff within guidelines and supervise junior staff.
• Ensure continuation of rehabilitation programmes during weekdays, weekends and bank holidays.
• Help patients achieve independence in mobility and activities of daily living.
