Job summary

Pulse Healthcare is seeking a Band 6/7 Respiratory Physiologist to join our Gateshead team. You will perform respiratory tests, interpret results, and contribute to patient care plans in a busy clinical setting.

The role requires an NHS background or similar experience, a degree in Clinical Physiology, and registration with RCCP/AHCS. Full-time position with a start in March 2025 and a 9-month duration.

Qualifications

• Degree in Clinical Physiology or equivalent.
• Registration with RCCP or AHCS.
• Proven NHS experience in a similar role preferred.
• Proficiency in performing respiratory tests and interpreting results.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Conduct a range of respiratory tests including spirometry, lung volumes and gas transfer.
• Interpret test results and prepare accurate reports for MDT.
• Educate patients on respiratory health and management strategies.
• Maintain and calibrate respiratory equipment, ensuring safety compliance.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop patient care plans.
