Job summary

Pulse Healthcare is seeking a Band 6/7 Respiratory Physiologist to join our Gateshead team. You will perform respiratory tests, interpret results, and contribute to patient care plans in a busy clinical setting.

The role requires an NHS background or similar experience, a degree in Clinical Physiology, and registration with RCCP/AHCS. Full-time position with a start in March 2025 and a 9-month duration.

Qualifications

• Degree in Clinical Physiology or equivalent.

• Proficiency in performing respiratory tests and interpreting results.

Responsibilities

• Conduct a range of respiratory tests including spirometry, lung volumes and gas transfer.
• Interpret test results and prepare accurate reports for MDT.
• Educate patients on respiratory health and management strategies.
• Maintain and calibrate respiratory equipment, ensuring safety compliance.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop patient care plans.

You will be involved in patient education, offering guidance on respiratory health and management strategies. Your expertise will also be essential in maintaining and calibrating respiratory equipment, ensuring compliance with health and safety standards.
