Job summary

Gateshead Health is seeking a motivated Band 3 Therapy Technical Instructor to join our respiratory therapy team. You will work with therapists to assess and rehabilitate patients across inpatient, outpatient and community settings, including ward-based care and home visit programmes.

The role involves supporting rehabilitation programmes, with supervision and development opportunities provided. A 7-day rota including weekends and bank holidays is required.

Qualifications

• Therapy support qualification or working towards one.
• Functional Skills Level 2 in English.
• Functional Skills Level 2 in Mathematics/Numeracy.

Responsibilities

• Provide high standard of therapy assistant service across ward, group and clinic.
• Support discharge planning and respiratory rehabilitation activities.
• Work with therapists to progress patients through treatment plans.
• Supervise junior staff within clinical areas and ensure patient care is safe.
• Document interventions and progress, communicating with the multidisciplinary team.
