Job summary

Midlands Partnership NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Therapy Assistant for the Broadfield Ward at Haywood Hospital to support a specialist rehabilitation team in an inpatient setting. You will help patients regain independence and work with therapists to deliver person-centred care.

You will implement therapy programmes, monitor progress, assist with discharge planning and maintain accurate records while collaborating with patients, families and colleagues to drive quality improvement.

Qualifications

• Experience in care or hospital settings and assisting therapists.
• Ability to work in multidisciplinary teams.
• Experience delivering or supporting rehabilitation programmes.
• Willingness to learn and develop skills in therapy support.

Responsibilities

• Deliver rehabilitation interventions under supervision.
• Support independence and rehabilitation goals.
• Assist with therapy programmes and group activities.
• Monitor progress and feed back to therapists.
• Support discharge planning.
• Maintain clinical records and collect data.
• Prepare resources and equipment.
• Collaborate with families and staff.
• Support service improvement and audits.
