The Vacancy

We have an exciting opportunity for a 16 month maternity cover in our Electrical Resource & Scheduling team. This is a great opportunity to build on your existing skills and develop your knowledge of our repairs and maintenance service.

What you’ll be doing

As a Resource & Scheduling Coordinator, you will be responsible for supporting our electrical operations teams, ensuring works are planned and coordinated effectively to deliver a high-quality service to our customers. You will have responsibility for the day-to-day scheduling of electrical repairs, compliance inspections, testing programmes and remedial works, balancing priorities, skills, location and customer commitments to make the best use of available resources.

The role plays an important part in ensuring electrical works are managed and delivered within required timescales, supporting our commitment to customer safety, regulatory compliance and service performance.

The role will involve maintaining accurate records and working across several systems to ensure appointments are correctly booked, updated and progressed, maintaining accurate information at all times.

You will provide advice and support to customers while working closely with electricians, supervisors, colleagues and contractors, building strong working relationships to ensure the best possible outcomes. This includes helping to prioritise urgent jobs, reacting quickly to changes in demand and ensuring work is allocated efficiently to support operational performance targets.

We’ll provide you with a structured training programme to help you build your knowledge of the service and systems you'll be using. You'll also work alongside the wider team to develop the knowledge needed to effectively support our electrical operations colleagues.

About you

You'll have some experience working in a planning, scheduling or coordination role, with the ability to manage a demanding and fluctuating workload. Experience planning digital diaries for electricians, engineers or operatives within a repairs and maintenance environment would be advantageous.

You'll need to be organised, able to react quickly when priorities change and be confident managing multiple tasks simultaneously. You'll have strong attention to detail and be comfortable making decisions in a fast-paced environment.

Experience using Uniclass ROCC and DRS would be desirable, although not essential. You'll be comfortable learning new systems and ensuring information is always accurate and up to date.

You'll be a confident communicator, both written and verbal, with the ability to build positive working relationships with operatives, supervisors, customers and contractors. You'll understand the importance of excellent customer service and take pride in helping to deliver a safe, efficient and reliable electrical service.
