Job summary

Staffline is recruiting Resource Planners at Heathrow Airport to help manage flight staffing and rostering across rotating shifts.

This full‑time role offers a 5 days on, 3 days off pattern with hours 7am–4pm or 9am–6pm; on‑site canteen and good transport links are provided. Full training, uniform and PPE are supplied, with opportunities for overtime and a temp‑to‑perm path.

Qualifications

• IT literate and able to use planning software
• Experience in planning and rostering within a fast-paced environment
• Understanding of aviation operations and airport planning
• Familiarity with Inform rostering systems preferred

Responsibilities

• Plan load schedules using skill and resources to maximise staff utilisation
• Maintain Inform databases for Planning and Rostering
• Advise on changes to improve efficiency and coverage
• Understand how planning affects realtime staff allocation and operation success
• Deliver plans to optimise resources within staffing budget
• Collaborate with internal departments to meet demand and KPI targets

Staffline is recruiting Resource Planners in Heathrow Airport.

The rate of pay is £32,287.50 per annum.

This is a full‑time role working rotating shifts, 5 days on 3 days off, and the hours of work are:

• 7am to 4pm
• 9am to 6pm

Your Time at Work

Customer Engagement

• Work closely with internal departments, looking at engagement standards and resource output from these standards
• Ensure delivery windows are met and any changes communicated through the Heathrow operations team and to all colleagues impacted
• Liaise with all operational departments to ensure plan met demand

Stakeholder

• Work collaboratively with other relevant DHL contracts / divisions
• Demonstrate a positive & respectful attitude to others
• Work with site teams to ensure the optimised plan is delivered
• Ensure Customer & DHL's KPI's are met by planning effectively

Process

• Plan load schedules making best use of skill & resource where possible, utilising inform planning and rostering systems to maximise staff utilisation and ensure coverage of all flights
• Maintaining all inform databases for Planning and Rostering
• Advise on changes required to improve efficiency
• Ability to understand how effective planning affects the realtime allocation of staff and the success of the operation
• Have good knowledge of Inform system and be able to use it on a daily basis
• Deliver a plan to optimise the resource to make efficient use of the staffing budget

Safety

• Work safely in line with Health & Safety guidelines
• Report health & safety issues immediately to line managers
• Strive to reduce the number of health & safety related incidents year on year

• IT Literate
• Ideally proficient with resource planning systems or similar planning and rostering tools
• At least 2 years experience within a Planning department would be advantageous
• Understanding of aviation operations
• Excellent knowledge of airport planning and aviation industry
• Educated to High School
