Job summary

Sparsholt College is seeking a Residential Warden to join the Residential Support Team at Sparsholt Campus, Hampshire. The role supports around 400 learners in a positive residential experience and helps ensure students are supported at all times.

The successful applicant will be enthusiastic about working with young people, manage safety, enforce the code of conduct, and handle keys and alarms for halls of residence on a rota basis. A compassionate, boundary-aware approach is essential.

Qualifications

• Be enthusiastic and keen to work with young people.
• Have a good understanding of the needs of young people with the ability to guide and empathise but still retain strong boundaries.
• Have a supportive and friendly manner.
• Experience of working with young adults or learners.
• Teaching, youth work or counselling qualification is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Supporting the residential students, providing an emotionally and physically safe environment.
• Be first point of contact with residential issues for learners, guardians and colleagues.
• Ensuring College rules are adhered to, and learners are following the code of conduct.
• Be responsible for keys and alarms in relation to the halls of residence.
